Sonoma Homeschool Support Program

Providing Support to Homeschool Families

Empowering Parents to Educate Their Children in Freedom

The Sonoma Homeschool Support Program provides a flexible Christian-based learning environment for children grades K-8 who are currently (or wish to be) homeschooled. We exist to allow parents to outsource some of their children’s educational experience freeing them from many of the restrictions placed upon them by traditional schools, whether public or private.

Located in Sonoma, CA, we apply many aspects of the Charlotte Mason approach to learning but also pull from a number of other methodologies as well.  There is a focus on developing student’s academic knowledge, skills, wisdom, creativity and character through hands-on, relevant, real-world learning activities.  The cultural values are Judeo-Christian.  It is designed to be relationship-oriented and will foster powerful interaction and collaboration between learners, coaches and parents.

Learning takes place in pods of students, no larger than 15 students per pod.

Individualized Assessments

Each student is assessed to see where they are academically and goals are set collaboratively with parents.

The morning consists of core subject learning directed by a homeschool coach and the afternoon is geared toward enrichment focused activities, such as art, music, gardening, science and foreign language.
