What is the ONE word that describes your life today?
A lot of people would say “worrisome” or “chaotic” or “stressful”. For many many years my life felt like one crisis after another. I would come out of one drama or trauma only to find myself headlong into another one soon after. This rollercoaster sapped me of my joy. I realized over time that the enemy didn’t want my marriage, my children, my business, my finances or my health. He wanted to steal my joy!
In John 10:10 Jesus tell us that, “The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows").
I began to consider the possibility that not only could I get victory over the negative circumstances in my life, but I could be still and have joy in the middle of the storms.
The revelation that God doesn’t just want us to survive but to THRIVE was the beginning of my journey into abundant life.
